Stalingrad Eternal Glory to Heroes Men's T-Shirt
About the T-Shirt
This tasteful men's t-shirt celebrates the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad (23 August 1942 – 2 February 1943). Stalingrad was one of the bloodiest battles in the history of warfare and instrumental in the Allies' defeat of Nazi Germany during WWII.
At the top of this t-shirt proudly stands the statue that stands at the center of the Stalingrad memorial in Volgograd - The Motherland Calls (Russian: Родина-мать зовёт!). Upon completion, the statue was the tallest in the world and is still the tallest statue of a woman anywhere. It stands 85 meters tall - truly breathtaking in size. In comparison, the Statue of Liberty in New York is 93 meters tall (though that includes 47 meters of the pedestal).
Below the statue is of course the word, Stalingrad, in English. And underneath that lies the phrase that you will find on WWII memorials all across the former Soviet Union and beyond: Eternal Glory to the Heroes (Russian: Вечная слава героям).
There are other t-shirts out there that pay homage to the heroes of Stalingrad, including this one below that a veteran of both Stalingrad and Covid-19 wears. However, in our opinion our design does the best job of respectfully bridging the gap between Russian and Anglophone world, when it comes to remembering Stalingrad.
This premium quality t-shirt feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering.
