About the Poster
There is No God! (Russian: Бога нет!) is a 1975 atheist propaganda poster by Vladimir Menshikov (Russian: Владимир Меньшиков).
The poster refers to the Soviet cosmonaut, Gherman Titov, the second person to orbit the earth after Yuri Gagarin. In 1962, Titov famously and controversially told an audience at the Seattle World Far, "Sometimes people are saying that God is out there. I was looking around attentively all day but I didn’t find anybody there. I saw neither angels nor God." As you can see in the poster, a cosmonaut in outer space is searching with his hand held to his eyebrow, and says "There is no God!"
