About the Poster

This rather risqué poster from the glasnost period shows a squatting woman covering her genitals with a condom amulet. The caption simply reads, "My AIDS Amulet..." (Russian: «Mой амулет СПИД»). Reading between the lines, we label this suggestive work, Condoms Are My AIDS Amulet.
