About the Poster

This Soviet Armenia poster was commissioned by Intourist, the Soviet state travel agency, in 1935. It aimed to draw foreign tourists, primarily from Western Europe, to visit the Armenian SSR. The poster's artist is Sergei Igumnov (Russian: Сергей Игумнов).
