The Book Strengthens the Socialist Construction (Russian: Книга крепит социалистическую стройку) is a 1930 Soviet poster created by Nikolay Khomov and Igor Merkulov (Russian: Николай Хомов и Игорь Меркулов).
The full text of the poster reads: "The book strengthens socialist construction. Let's fulfill the five-year plan not at 5, but at 4. Let's all arm ourselves with a book to the book store." In Russian, that's «Книга крепит социалистическую стройку. Выполним пятилетку не в 5, а в 4 года. Вооружимся книгой все на книжный базар».
