About the Poster
The Moral of Capitalism - Men Are Each Other's Enemy! (Russian: Мораль капитализма — человек человеку враг!) is a 1965 Soviet propaganda poster by the artists V. B. Koretsky and E.V. Abezgus (Russian: В.Б. Корецкий, Е.В. Абезгус).
The phrase "Men Are Each Other's Enemy!" (Russian: «Человек человеку враг!») is very close to the old Latin proverb, "Homo homini lupus." In Russian it's especially close with the word враг (enemy) being similar in sound to волк (wolf). Surely the Soviet designers would then be ok with a version of the poster instead about the USSR that read with some line similar to Seneca's "homo, sacra res homini" ("man, an object of reverence in the eyes of man.")
